Anycubic Kobra Max 3D Printer Review

Build Process

While it would be possible to build this on your own, I would recommend that you get someone to give you a hand with holding things in place so you don’t end up struggling to do two things at once.

To start the build process you align the top part of the printer into the right place on the bottom and screw it in from the bottom, with two screws on each side.

The next step in the build process is to attach those metal rods we saw previously, these are meant to be braces for the printer and should help keep the printer from wobbling during the print process.

After that we need to attach the glass bed, this is simple enough, you line it up on the heated bed and use the six included clips to hold it in place.

Next is to cut a few zip ties that were used to hold things in place during shipping.

With things free from zip ties we need to tighten the belts, this is easy enough. To tighten the belts you need to turn these red handles and feel the tension on them, there isn’t much science behind it, you are just going by feel.

Next is to attach the touch screen, this again is very easy as it screws on and is done, it takes less than a minute to attach this.

Finally in the build process is the cables, the included instructions show you exactly where the cables need to attach and pretty much everything is labelled so it isn’t too hard to do. Watch out during this step though because you need to make sure you are getting your axis right. Remember to attach the cable clips as it will keep cables away from places they shouldn’t get caught in.
