Synthetic benchmarks are only part of the picture, and real-world performance is what really matters. For gaming at high refresh rates, high resolutions, or both, the Xtreme 2080 Ti is a beast in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Shock and horror, the Gigabyte 2080 Ti took the first spot on the 1080p test, albeit not by much. However, at 1440p and 4K, the Xtreme took the lead by a more noticeable margin. It’s also the first card to average above 60 FPS at 4K, which is mighty impressive.
This is always a demanding game to run, especially at high resolutions. The Xtreme did a solid job though, and came extremely close to having a minimum frame rate above 60 at 4K, although it still averaged 74.9 FPS at 4K!
OK, this was really not expected, but the Xtreme 2080 Ti is almost cartoonishly fast in this benchmark. It’s 50 FPS higher than the Gigabyte card at 1080p and was pushing close to 90 FPS at 4K. This is truly incredible performance here and this will take something insane to beat it.
Another fantastic result, with a 1080p framerate that practically double that of the VEGA cards. Even at 4K, it’s still pushing 88 FPS with the high graphics profile, so dialling some settings to ultra is more than within its capabilities.
