Apple now selling OS X Lion on a USB stick

OS X Lion launched back in July and was incredibly successful notching up over a million downloads in the first few weeks at around $29 a download. The 4GB download may be a problem for some people Apple thinks and as a result they have started selling a USB device which has the operating system on so you can install from a USB as opposed to having to download it which could be problematic for those with Bandwidth limits or slow lines.

However, the drive costs a whopping $69 more than double the cost of the downloaded version which is just $29. Delivery is free but $69 is still very expensive price for putting the operating system on a USB drive that probably cost less than $5 for Apple to produce. If this option is too expensive for you then you can head down to your nearest Apple store with your Apple computer and use their internet free of charge to conduct the download.
