The unit is certainly slimline measuring in at only 143mm x 40mm x 266mm. The unit is split into two as shown on the front and includes a variety of front panel connectors.
On the front we find a power button, two USB 3.0 ports, microphone and headphone jack ports, multi-use memory card reader and a Blu-Ray 4x player giving you plenty of flexibility over what types of media you’d like to use.
The unit is split into two with one side being decorated in a piano black surface and Arctic branding. Also at the top we find three slats to give sufficient ventilation to the internal components.
The other side incorporates an aluminium casing with the same ventilated slats to provide airflow to the passive design.
On the bottom of the unit, a stand helps the device sit vertically and includes a foam pad to provide assistance with vibration, though the unit doesn’t include any moving parts apart from the DVD Re-Writer, as this particular model includes an SSD, whereas other units have a mechanical hard drive instead.
Now this is where things get interesting, as we take a look at the rear I/O. First up we find more ventilation ports to assist in cooling and then a whole host of connectors. There are five audio jacks as well as an optical SPDIF connector, VGA and HDMI which can also travel audio, Gigabit LAN and five USB ports. Down the bottom we find a connector for the DC power adapter and a screw terminal for the included antenna, so that the WiFi range is at its optimum range. There is also the DVB-T TV tuner coaxial connector.
