Before we can use our router, we need to initialise it. In most cases, you won’t have to do much more than connecting it. The system will detect the router and automatically open up the configuration interface in your browser.
The initialisation is just a few steps and you’ll be done with it quickly. At first, you’ll have to define the administrator password after which you’ll be presented with some of the feature highlights in the ROG Rapture. Lastly, it will let you set your wireless passwords before applying the new settings.
Once the router is ready after the basic setup, you’ll be presented with the dashboard. The router is running a modified version of the ASUSWRT firmware, specially designed for ROG devices. The interface has a ROG theme which should make fans feel right at home.
The initial dashboard provides a real-time view of your network status.
Before you continue any further, you should check for a firmware upgrade within the system functions. The router has a built-in check for the Signature as well as the firmware. You can also manually apply a new firmware that you have in a file.
