ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS WIFI Motherboard Review

How Much Does it Cost?

Coming in at £245 / $260 at the time of review, this is one of the cheaper Z590 baords we have tested for Intel’s 11th Gen Launch day. This cheaper price tag will make it a much more affordable option for the masses and allow users to upgrade to the Z590 chipset without breaking the bank.

Overview

Being more affordable will allow the TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS WIFI to be more widely adopted. It will allow users a great way into 11th Gen CPUs without any real performance loss. While it may not have all the features found on higher-end boards costing twice as much, it surely will do the job.

Build Quality & Design

Even though this board may not be as high-quality as others, it doesn’t mean ASUS have cheeped out on it. They may have cut some corners to make this one of the more affordable Z590 boards but it is still designed and comprised of high-quality components. The TUF Gaming branding will also allow for some great builds as you can also get other TUF Gaming certified components.

Performance

While the performance may be a little off from those boards costing twice as much, it’s not by much and surely isn’t something that should put you off. The TUF GAMING Z590-PLUS WIFI still offers decent performance across all our testing and the real-world noticeability of the differences are going to be almost non-existent.

Added Value

I wouldn’t call it added value per se, but the more affordable nature of this board is one of the bigger selling points. Users who may just be looking to upgrade their system piece by piece will find the price quite intriguing, making it a go-to option for your everyday gamer or someone who wants to make use of the latest features brought on from Intels 11th Gen CPUs.

Should I Buy One?

As mentioned, the price alone is one of the biggest selling points for this board. Being able to upgrade to the latest and greatest hardware without making your wallet cry is always a nice feeling. While the performance may not be quite as good as the more expensive options, this won’t really be noticeable in the real world. If you are looking to dip your toes into the water that is Intel’s 11th Gen CPUs and the Z590 chipset, Ihave no issues with recommending this board on a budget basis.
