Battlefield V Performance – Fastest AMD and Nvidia Cards Tested

Performance

1080p

This is something I’m very happy to see indeed. All GPUs, including the least powerful RX580 scored an average of 60 FPS. Sure, the RX580 did dip down to around 50 FPS at times, but it also went above 65 FPS too; more than playable for such an affordable GPU. Keep in mind, we’re using the High profile too, so the graphics look properly fantastic and smooth on all GPUs. On the Vega 64 and above, you could use a Very High profile. Furthermore, the RTX 2080, RTX 2080 Ti and GTX 1080 Ti will have no issues with Ultra graphics at 1080p. The highest performing GPUs would kill it on high refresh rate monitors too.

1440p

Again, very strong performance here. While the VEGA 56 and RX580 dipped below 60 FPS, they’re still very much playable at High settings on a 1440p display. You could just as easily wind the graphics settings back a little to improve this, and honestly, the visuals would still look pretty great. Both the Vega 64 and RTX 2070 exceeded 60 FPS with ease also. However, it’s the 1080 Ti and the RTX 2080 Ti that stole the show, and both would be a good option for those running high refresh rate displays, or ultra-wide G-sync monitors.

2160p

4K soon took all of the GPUs down a few pegs. The RX580 and the Vega56 pretty mech failed here; don’t give me any of that 30FPS is more cinematic crap either, I’m not buying what you’re selling. The VEGA 64 shocked me the most, as this card often proved quite punchy at 4K, but with high settings, it only averaged 40 FPS. You would have to drop a fair few settings to bring that up by 50% for 60 FPS. The Nvidia cards get a thumbs up across the board though, all hitting near or over 60 FPS with ease. Want to set graphics above High? 2080 Ti or bust it seems!
