be quiet! Light Wings White 120/140mm Fans Review

A Closer Look

The fans themselves look absolutely stunning, there’s no doubt about it. be quiet! is a premium brand, and I think that really shows in both the material choices and their respective colours. They just look expensive, and the matte finish really pops, even without the RGB turned on, these look really good.

The overall fit and finish is impeccable too, with durable rubber grommets that are as nicely designed as they are functional.

The muted silver and dark grey logo looks great, and doesn’t spoil the overall contrast of the matte white fan blades.

The framing is thick, but bent, curved and trimmed in all the right places to add durability but also to not waste materials where they’re not needed.

The frame sinks back away from the corners, allowing the RGB LED ring to be more exposed, which should help further enhance the overall lighting effects.

At the side, you can see the thicker plastics really easily, but also how some material was removed around the corners too; they’re very durable and it looks great too.

At the back, I’m glad to see rubber pads on both sides of the fan, and all cables are white, with absolutely no exception, A lot of cheaper fans have fairly standard coloured cables at the back, but not these.

There’s a slither of the RGB ring showing at the back too, allowing for some rear lighting effects.

As you might expect, the 120mm and 140mm look pretty much identical, one is just bigger than the other.

However, to cope with the larger size, the 120mm has 18 LEDS, and the 140mm has 20 LEDs.

The control hub is great, offering up to six channels, but keep in mind, it’s ONLY for the RGB, and the fan PWM headers will need your own hub or connect to your motherboard.
