The boxes are classic be quiet! design, with all-black packaging, a simple logo, and a lovely clear photo of the product front and centre.

Around the back, there’s a technical table showing you the fan speeds and dimensions, but overall, all pretty standard stuff here.

I have two models are my disposal today, the 120mm and the 140mm, and they both come packed the same and with identical accessories.

There are push-fit pegs and washers, clip-on alternative corner pieces, and some black fan screws.

These are quite interesting, as you can literally take the corners off the fans and put these smaller ones one, allowing you to change the fan from a high-pressure radiator fan with sealed edges, to a more open and airflow-focused case fan.

  1. Recent fans, but how many CFMs ?

    Apart from the interchengeable wedges…
    For half the price you can get these ones which give off 122 cfm for 1800 rpm for only 29 db and they are durable too.

    It’s just marketing to make people believe in recent progress. I’m talking about efficiency, because a fan has to cool properly while making little noise, and not just be quieter at low rpm like water cooling, which is barely better than air cooling, and whose fans often have to be changed and are of poor quality, in short…
