CD Projekt Red, Developers behind The Witcher series has today announced that they are working on a mod editor for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

An announcement has been made which is sure to please modders and fans of the Witcher franchise which involves a mod editor for the PC version of the game that will be released for free in 2024. The mod editor will allow users to create their own experiences by creating something entirely new or editing existing quests and content within the game. More information on the mod editor will be shared closer to 2024.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released back in 2015 though received a next-gen update at the end of last year. Just goes to show how it is worth keeping older games, especially the popular ones, up to date. I still have yet to play the next-gen update, though granted I still have yet to play more than 3 hours of the game.
