Complete System
This was a pretty straight forward build, as it’s quite a spacious case despite the more compact form factor. I was surprised just how easy everything fit, though, seen as any space spaces have been half-filled with additional drive cages. Admittedly, cable routing could look better, but since there are no side panel windows on this case, it purely has to be functional, not beautiful.
The number of drive cages is awesome, and I had so many choices for where to put my single SSD. That being said, if you wanted to build a mini workstation, server, or even a small NAS, this would make a fantastic case for the job.
There’s a good range of cable routing holes dotted around the build, so bigger cables can easily be moved out of the way. While it’s not very tidy, keep in mind, you’ll still want them out of the way of your fans.
Plus, there’s more cable management space below the motherboard (despite all the hard drive cages) than I thought there was. This means you can easily cram any excess cables down here with ease.
There’s room for a decent-sized air cooler, should you need one. Most 120mm coolers should fit, but measure twice before you order.
Plus, with the 120mm/140mm mount in the back and the top, you have more than one way of trying to fit an AIO cooler in here, too; not forgetting you can pass liquid tubing through those rear grommets for external cooling too.
With four expansion slots, you have room for a pretty thick graphics card. However, if you keep them to a two-slot design, you could go for SLI/Crossfire or some other dual expansion card configuration.
There’s a good amount of clearance too. Some of the biggest cards on the market may struggle, but the majority should fit easily enough. Again, measure up before you place an order!
With all the panels back in place, you really wouldn’t know that I’ve put anything in this case at all! It’s super clean and tidy looking, and while it may not have the visual flair for your gaming room, I quite like it. It’s got a smart office look to it; there’s certainly nothing wrong with that!
However, it has one final party trick to offer. Remove two thumbscrews in the rear of the case and two supporting screws, and the whole front and top panels are on a hinge. This means that if you need to get into fiddle with a wire, hit the BIOS reset, clean the CPU cooler, etc., you can easily do so. It’ll certainly make regular maintenance a whole lot easier!
