Civilization VI Update Detailed - Releases in 1 Week!

Firaxis has just released a rather interesting and… uhm, an enthusiastic video detailing the latest updates for Civilization VI. The video is fun, but also explains all the new changes and additional content we can expect to see added to this iconic game.

Of course, the game will get a usual array of balance adjustments. However, much like all previous updates, we’ll see the addition of a new scenario and game mode content. This month, it’ll be Barbarian Clans game mode, and the Leader Selection Pool.

The Leader Selection Pool is interesting, as you can block leaders from appearing in your scenario. That means you never have to deal with that maniac Gandhi again!

Then you have the new Barbarian Clans game mode, which completely overhauls how you interact with the games Barbarians. Rather than the usual kill-or-be-killed interactions of the past, there are now six Barbarian Clans Each will have a special unit type, and can even develop into a city-state. However, you can help or hinder their progress in that regard. Basically, they’ll grow and develop just like everything else, which is fantastic.

The update will be made available on February 25th, and it’ll be a great excuse to fire up the game again and have just one more turn.
