Out of the box, the Skorpion comes pre constructed. It has three legs in a triangular formation connected to solid, weighted plastic triangular base. The arm (or tail in this case), is mounted on the rear leg and can be removed. The legs can be detached at the knee and feature anti slip rubber feet to ensure it remains fixed on the desk.
From this angle it is very clear as to why it is called the Skorpion. The arm represents the stinger found on the arthropods we all know, and the feet, the legs and pincers.
The arm has a groove going down it’s middle, which is the channel for the cable. There are several points that grip the cable when you push it into place. The arm is made of a rubber material giving it great flexibility, so the cable moves, but not the Skorpion.
