The Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 6 is available from today, with an MSRP of £139.99. It’ll be available in two variants, which look pretty much identical, but there’s a red one (which we reviewed today) that features a red LED fan and red front panel lighting, and a blue one, which as you may have guessed comes with a blue LED fan and blue front panel lighting.
Overview
I am already a big fan of the new Cooler Master MasterCase chassis, it seems they can do no wrong. The MasterCase Pro and Maker 5 and even more so the 5t are simply amazing chassis, catering to the needs of high-end gaming systems, workstations and more with relative ease. Now I wouldn’t say that the MasterCase Pro 6 is better than the 5, as internally it’s basically the same chassis, but its overall purpose and design still feel new and fresh.
The build quality is rock solid, but it’s the general design that leaves me impressed. Those pop out front and top panels are really cool, and the spring-loaded magnetic mounts sound more complicated than they are, but they really do work very well. Close the panels and you’ll cut the overall noise from your rig, pop them out, you get more airflow, it’s that simple. The addition of removable and washable dust filters on all intakes, as well as three pre-installed 140mm fans makes this a robust starting point for any new system build.
With the Free Form interior design, you can move around the HDD bays, even remove the optical bays and more, allowing you to “make it yours” with ease. The fact that Cooler Master sell additional hard drive cages, lighting strips, GPU brackets, vertical GPU mounts and more to help you tweak the chassis to suit your needs is simply genius and allows the chassis to grow with your needs over time.
I love the Pro 5 and Maker 5 chassis series, they’re stunning gaming systems, but so too is the MasterCase Pro 6. It’s every bit as good on the outside, yet with much more subtle lighting, and those unique pop-out top and front panels, it’s much quieter, sleeker and stealthy looking. If you want something a little more understated for the home or office, the Pro 6 is certainly the way to go.
