Cooler Master MH751 Multi-Platform Gaming Headset Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

The Cooler Master MH751 Gaming Headset is available now for just £74.99. For a headset that works on pretty much every major console, and with this level of quality and performance, it’s a fantastic deal. If you also want some USB connectivity, as well as Virtual 7.1, the MH752 can be grabbed for £94.99 too.

Overview

Cooler Master has really outdone themselves today. I loved their MasterPulse Pro over-ear Headset from a few years ago, as they had a fresh look to them, sleek build quality, and a great sound. However, the new MH751 are even sleeker, cleaner, lighter, more comfortable, and sound even better too. What’s more, they both launched at about the same price too.

Build Quality

There’s nothing wrong with the build quality here, but I do have some things worth taking note of. The headset is quite lightweight and it both looks and feels well made. However, the softer padding on the headband and ear cups could be a little more fragile than those which more dense padding. The headset comes with a protective bag, and I suggest you use it to keep it in top condition.

Comfort

That lightweight design and super soft padding are not from Cooler Master cutting down on material costs. They’re design features that mean this is by long and far one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever tested. It has a superb adjustment system that suits all shapes and sizes, turning and pivoting drivers, and soft leatherette padding. Overall, it’s about as encombering as a bundle of feathers. If you’re gaming for several hours (or more), the last thing you want is a headset that feels like your heads in a vice.

Sound Quality

Again, one of the best sounding headsets Cooler Master had produced. Audiophile grade? Not really. Crushing bass and big volume? Not that either. It just sounds great and clear, with loads of detail in the mid-range and treble, that really brings out the detail in music, movies and gaming. It’s also got a natural tone to it that makes team chat feel less like a bunch of CB radios. Combine the great sound with the comfortable fit, and you’ll never want to take it off again.

Should I Buy One?

While this is a multi-format headset, don’t be put off if you only want it for a single device. This is a great headset regardless of what format you use it with. Listening to music on the train, jamming out on the Switch, or a bit of PUBG on the PC, it’s versatile enough for whatever you need. At £74.99, it’s not a bargain, but for what you get in return, it’s a solid investment for such a headset that looks great and performs even better.
