A Closer Look
Visually, the fan looks different from most I’ve seen. I’ve just had a look through my box of “rubbish” (according to hers truly) and most of my spare fans all have 7 blades, this item has 16 (removable, don’t forget, if you can figure out how that is) and looks like the blades on a turbine engine. Not that you’d see this when it’s attached to your case.

Taking a look at the fan from the side we can see the mounting holes and how the fan blades protrude higher than the main frame as such.

From the back of the fan we can see the motor casing and the cables.

Below is a demonstration of the mounting you would use, using the supplied ‘Rubber Screws’.

From a slightly different angle you can see the huge number of blades and how angled the blades are, in this case each blade isn’t angled greatly as there are so many of them. This should in theory allow the fan to still move lots of air but quietly as it is rotating fairly slowly.

One more for good luck, from a slightly different angle showing you how much of the fan is exposed. This is because, The main fan unit is in an open chassis, which according to the box, is meant to reduce noise and vibration and increase airflow. This is a good thing, however due to there being no side protection of the fan unit itself, care must be taken that stray cables do not foul its operation. The dome which is included fouled my Lian Li fan holder so I didn’t fit it. The box doesn’t state whether it has to be on or not, but I can only assume that it is purely an aesthetic add on.
