Corsair Carbide Air 240 Micro-ATX Chassis Review

Exterior

We have the white model at our disposal today (obviously) and the smooth matte finish looks absolutely superb. The left side panel features a large viewing window to give you a great view of the interior components. It is also worth explaining now that this chassis can be used on its side on its base, making this left panel the top panel dependant on which configuration you use.

The right side panel, which again can become the bottom panel if the chassis is used in its rotated configuration, comes equipped with a magnetic dust filter.

Behind the filter you’ll find a 120mm fan mount towards the front and a large section to allow airflow to the PSU. This is also the side you would use the included stick-on rubber feet on, if you make this the base of your chassis they’re need to provide ground clearance for the bottom air vents.

The front panel is nicely designed with heavy ventilation down the left side and a magnetically attached Corsair badge, this can be removed and (you guessed it) rotated to match your chosen orientation of the chassis.

The main I/O panel has everything you need with a pair of HD audio ports and dual USB 3.0 ports, kinda glad to see manufacturers dropping the USB 2.0 ports now, as this is usually all you’ll need here.

Lots going on around the back; in the top left you have a removable cover for access to the 3.5″ drive bays, below that you have the PSU mount. On the right you’ll find two 80mm fan mounts and below that four expansion slots, each fitted with a reusable ventilated cover.

The top panel features extra ventilation for any top mounted cooling.

Even more ventilation on the bottom for bottom mounted cooling, which once again would become side mounted cooling dependant on your chosen chassis orientation.
