Efficiency

Given that this is an 80 Plus Bronze rated power supply, in terms of efficiency, this does require it to meet certain parameters within our testing. So, with that in mind, how did it do? Well, as you can see in the chart below, despite only technically having to achieve an average of around 82% efficiency, the Corsair CX750F RGB was, in reality, far closer to 90%.

As far as we could ascertain, this was certainly ‘Silver’ rated within our testing and just crept into the realms of ‘Gold’. Given that this has only been officially certified as ‘Bronze’, however, this could well represent some excellent value and performance well beyond the price tag normally seen within this remit.

Put simply, despite it being ‘Bronze’, it’s massively better than that! It’s even better than the 85% Corsair boasts on the box!

PFC (Power Factor Correction)

Although the initial 20% load result for the PFC testing is quite low, this isn’t unusual for the vast majority of power supplies. Put simply, they (generally speaking) run happier in this regard when it’s drawing more from the wall. Despite that low start, however, as soon as the wattage output cranks up, the figures quickly rise to well above the 0.95 level which is very indicative of a well designed power supply.

Voltage Regulation

Although there are some minor levels of deviancy at different power output levels, the key factor here is that when the results are taken as a whole, the total average deviancy is exceptionally low across all of the power supply rails. As such, you can be pretty certain that no matter how hard (or easy) you’re asking this to work, all of your components are going to be getting the right amount of power at a consistent level.
