Corsair Gaming M65 RGB Laser Gaming Mouse

Final Thoughts

Price

The Corsair M65 RGB is available from Overclockers.co.uk for £59.99. This is a very competitive price tag given the overall performance and features available on this mouse.

Overview

Every Corsair mouse I’ve ever tested has been a great product and today’s review of the Corsair Gaming M65 RGB is no exception. The new Corsair Gaming branding shows how Corsair is determined to dedicate themselves to the PC gaming scene. Sure there are a few jokes about their new logo design, but there’s certainly no joke about the performance of their products.

Build quality on the M65 RGB is very good. The aluminium chassis gives the mouse a lot of internal strength, but also helps keep it light weight. The top panels are made from plastics, but they’re all durable and well put together; no doubt capable of surviving a few knocks and bumps. My only concern is the light texture finish on the side panels, from my personal experience, textured plastics wear smooth after extended use and perhaps a rubber grip would have been even better.

The weight tuning system, the programmable buttons and customisable RGB lighting are all perfect for those who love to fine tune their gaming mouse. Having this level of flexibility means that you should be able to easily tailor the mouse to your specific preferences. The laser sensor is superb, it’s accurate across the full range of DPI settings. Combine this with adjustable lift-off heights and the sniper button and you’ve only got yourself to blame the next time you miss a headshot (or lag, people love blaming lag).

While not a particularly cheap mouse, the M65 RGB offers stiff competition for some of its rivals, such as the Roccat Kone XTD and the MadCatz RAT3.

Pros

  • Customisable RGB lighting effects
  • High-quality braided cable
  • Aluminium chassis
  • Weight tuning system
  • Sniper button
  • Accurate sensor
  • Easy to use software

Cons

  • None

“Excellent performance, extensive customisation, cool lighting effects and easy to use software make the Corsair Gaming M65 RGB one of the best mid-budget gaming mice on the market; a perfect addition to any great PC gaming setup”
