Price

I was able to find the Corsair H105 for just £88.63 from CCL Computers with free shipping, this is certainly a competitive price tag given its overall performance and while not much cheaper than the competing Enermax 240mm cooler, which costs about £10 more, cheap is still cheaper. In the US, the H105 is much better value for money, a mere $109.99 from Amazon.com, which roughly translates to under £67! You’ll struggle to beat that in terms of price vs performance.

Overview

There are a lot benefits to be found with the H105 and only one minor negative as far as I can see. Let’s get the negative out of the way first. The Enermax Liqtech coolers that recently launched offer better performance, it’s as simple as that. I guess something has to be the number 1 and this time around it isn’t Corsair. However, the Enermax product does cost a little more and availability isn’t as great as what you’ll find with the Corsair range.

Build quality is great on the H105, I really like this cooler over last years H100i cooler, the pipes are not as thick and this certainly makes it a lot easier to work with, and bending them doesn’t put as much strain on the compression fittings, something I know a few people has issues with when the H100i launched.

The radiator features a fairly standard design, it’s black, relatively clean looking and is pretty much what we expected. The pump is certainly a lot better than the older Corsair design, it is smaller, has less cables coming off of it and the swappable coloured discs on the top are great for colour matching your system, especially if you’re using the red or blue fans which Corsair make, obviously not a coincidence.

Installation of all-in-one CPU water coolers has improved a lot in recent years and the H105 is no exception, the older H100i was a pain in the butt to install due to its pump design, but the H100i is super easy and very beginner friendly.

Performance is good enough to be competitive with the bulk of the competition and while I have said that there are some better coolers on the market, expect to pay more for them. Acoustic performance is superb and certainly works in Corsairs favour as quiet operation is a big selling point for water cooling setups. Overall I’m happy with what Corsair have done here, the design is clean and tidy, installation was easy, the price is in line with the competition and performance is on par with our expectations. Of course if the price were a little cheaper we would certainly be leaping with joy here in the UK, but for US consumers this is a real bang for buck product as it’s much cheaper than the competing Enermax products in that market.
