Corsair Hydro Series H80 Liquid CPU Cooler Review

AcousticsWhile situated in a room where background noise was kept to a minimum, we placed the sound level meter equal distances from our test system to measure the total noise output by the complete test system for each cooling configuration at 100% fan speed.

At 100% fan speed, the Corsair H80 and supplied Corsair fans are loud! Very loud! A whopping 61.4 dbA of system noise output was recorded. To be fair though, the cooler has the potential to be much, much quieter by using some of the cooling profile features and other methods of reducing fan speed or even swapping to low noise fans such as Scythe AP-15s.
