As you saw on the previous page, there are a few smaller components to deal with. However, they largely all just attach to the two larger sections in a fairly linear fashion. Really, I could do this without looking at the instructions, however, it’s always best to check them first. There may be some extra screw, or some safety feature to consider; such as keeping your hands clear of the reclining mechanism, that thing is not to be toyed with during assembly!
You start from the ground up with this chair, so the first thing is to simply plug those wheels into the five-point base. They can need a firm hand to lock them into place though.
Once that’s done, simply turn it over.
Now you need to pop the gas lift into the centre. Just make sure it’s the right way up!
Then add the telescopic cover over the top of that.
The base of the chair needs to be flipped over for this section. As you can see, I hope, there are four large bolt holes here.
You need to mount the mechanism to the bottom, but ensure the right side is facing forward or your chair will not work correctly.
Watch out though, the screw driver is a little long here and catches the wheel, doh! Honestly, it was barely an inconvenience though.
This whole thing can then be lifted up and placed on top of the gas lift. It’s a tricky lift, so while you may not need a friend to help with the weight, they may need to be your eyes when lining it up.
Finally, you need to screw the backrest onto these side mounts.
It’s a little tricky, but not too bad really. Once you’ve got the first bolt lined up, you’re sorted. As you can see, the chair looks almost complete now.
Screw the side guards over, which certainly smartens up the appearance.
Don’t forget those little plastic covers to tidy up the screw hole.
