Normally, you either have to make the choice between looks and quality, however Cougar seems to have combined the two superbly. The finish and design of the exterior of these units are second to none and I can safely say that this is the best looking unit I have ever seen!
On the top of the unit we can see that Cougar has used a fantastic looking fan grill- it has a gold surround which reflects the unit’s 80+ Gold certification and looks quite simply amazing, the grill itself is a rigid honeycomb type. I like honeycomb fan grills on PSUs as they do a better job at preventing things like screws from falling into the PSU while you are working on it if you have the fan grill facing up.
The side of the unit will also look excellent in a windowed case due to the gold Cougar GX logo, textured paint and indented top with the model number on it.
The bottom of the unit includes all the required information for installation such as the power table which will be tucked away out of sight after being installed.
There is nothing new on the rear of the unit, just some ventilation, socket and switch.
The front is very well designed with clear labelling and a nice aesthetic finish.
