Any memory problems that plagued the Ryzen launch are now a thing of the past. Now that we have a supported kit, and have it running at a good speed, the Ryzen motherboards are performing perfectly. As are the Intel boards, but keep in mind the Skylake-X and KabyLake-X are running a slower kit. We’re not testing which is faster here, more that they’re performing within spec for their paired memory kit, and everything is working great here.
The higher memory latency of the new Ryzen chips is also lower than in our previous tests, showing there has been some improvement there too. Intel still delivers better latency, but in the real world, you’re unlikely to notice for day-to-day use.
