Overclocking

In terms of overclocking, the usual process revolves around finding the maximum stable frequency without altering the timings too much. During the review, I managed to set the memory speed to 3333MHz using the pre-defined parameters and increased the voltage to 1.38V to improve stability. Unfortunately, the timings had to be loosened slightly to 16-16-16-36 which prevented Windows from locking up.

Once the system remained stable, I worked on the BCLK while adjusting the timings to find the memory kit’s full potential. Despite my best efforts, slacker timings didn’t aid stability and I settled on a final figure of 3353MHz. This is a pretty impressive showing given the very respectable timings.
