We would like to thank our sponsors for supplying us with the equipment needed to perform these tests.
I had to throw my usual benchmark apps out for these 10GBASE-T reviews as they wouldn’t show the right results. The average throughput was around 2500Mbps which were far from what it should be. I took a step back to basics instead and chose to use iPerf 3, a simple command line based application to test the throughput of a network adapter.
I run each test for 30 seconds to check for stability and should there be any fluctuations, then the test will be expanded on length to show the effect. However for the most part, and that is how it should be, we will have a steady linear throughput.
We should also keep in mind that the throughput is based on the second system too as well as the switch.
