D-Link didn’t just include basic switch features in their DXS-1210 series, they also added a couple useful traffic management features beyond that.
QoS
Almost any network device has a Quality of Service (QoS) built in these days and it is no different here. The DXS-1210 features CoS-based QoS, Bandwidth control, queue handling and more.
ACL
The ACL supports up to 512 entries and 512 ACL rules.
Security
Security is always an important factor when it comes to network devices and we find an extensive feature list on the DXS-1210-12TC with storm control, Safeguard Engine, DHCP server screening, SSH, SSL, DoS attack prevention, and more.
OAM
The Ethernet OAM Standards is a set of functions designed to monitor network operation in order to detect network faults and measure its performance. On this smart switch, it allows you to test your cables and run diagnostics on them in order to eliminate them as possible faults.
Monitoring
Green
The green section contains the power related settings such as scheduled power times, LED dimming, port shutdown settings, and EEE.
Tools
There are a few more tools hiding in the toolbar under the same-named point. From here you and import and export settings as well as the firmware. Below is an exception of the options with HTTP and TFTP available for all points despite only one shown for each.
