Dark Web - The Silk Road Movie Being Written by Coen Brothers

It looks like Fox is preparing to make a movie called “Dark Web” which will focus on the Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht! Not only that, but the studio has signed on the talents of the Coen brothers to write it for them, which will be based on the Wired series, which told the story of Ulbricht’s black market empire, and of course, how it all came crashing down.

Ulbricht, who was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted on seven charges of money laundering, drug trafficking, conspiracy and computer hacking, as well as a few other things, has certainly been a controversial and interesting figure. Given the stories that surround him involved his black market store, him ordering a hit on at least five people and who know’s what else.

Ulbricht wasn’t the only one to be caught up in all this either, as even an FBI was caught stealing Bitcoins from the marketplace while they were investigating it. We’re sure this will make for an interesting movie, it already has the right kind of details without needing too much Hollywood spin on it. With Fargo, True Grit, No Country for Old Men and Bridge of Spies under their belt, we’re sure the Coen brothers will do the story justice.
