With the upcoming launch of Alder Lake-S, while many Intel users are undoubtedly looking forward to the release of this brand new series of processors, with it moving to a new socket platform (LGA 1700), this is clearly going to be quite a difficult, and potentially expensive, transition. In offering consumers some good news in this regard, however, DeepCool has confirmed that they will provide a free socket upgrade kit to qualifying owners of many of their most popular and potent CPU cooling solutions.

DeepCool Offers Free LGA Upgrade Kit!

As the socket name might suggest, LGA 1700 is going to be very different from the prior LGA 1200 platform. Most notably, this will see the CPU take a more horizontal design rather than the somewhat traditional square. To accommodate for this change, however, DeepCool has said that they will providers owners of arguably its more premium/high-performance CPU coolers, the ability to upgrade their existing mounting kit to full compatibility with LGA 1700 free of charge!

Compatible Coolers

In announcing the news, DeepCool has confirmed that owners of the following CPU cooling solutions will be able to apply for the new LGA 1700 socket kit. – Keep reading though because, as you might expect, this does come with a number of conditions.

Where Can I Learn More?

In terms of getting your free upgrade kit, DeepCool has largely only applied two notable conditions. Firstly, you must be able to provide them with proof of your original purchase (such as an invoice/receipt). – Secondly, although the LGA 1700 kit is being offered for free, some regions (undisclosed at the time of writing) may be required to simply cover the cost of its postage.

If you are unable to provide satisfactory proof of ownership, however, DeepCool has confirmed that the upgrade kit will be offered for sale individually at a very reasonable price of $5.99/€5.99.

We understand that DeepCool is currently in the process of setting up an application form for this free LGA 1700 upgrade kit. So if you want to learn more, we advise that you keep an eye on their official website via the link here!
