Elgato Releases Free Version of Stream Deck Mobile

For those of you wanting to stream with the convenience of a Stream Deck but don’t quite have the money to spare, then today is your lucky day as Elgato has announced that its Stream Deck mobile app is now free to use.

Elgato Stream Deck App Now Free

As revealed today, a major update to the Stream Deck mobile app which turns any smartphone into a handheld productivity interface, has made the app free to use. With the free version of the app, users can use up to six keys with unlimited actions and hundreds of plugins for popular apps. Alternatively, users can purchase a Pro subscription which unlocks advanced features such as custom layouts, background and up to 64 total keys, double that of the largest physical Stream Deck XL.

Other Additions

The free version is not the only inclusion in this new update, as the update has also had a core focus on customization. Users can now switch between light and dark modes, control keypad rotation and explore community plugins and profiles on the Elgato Marketplace. Additionally, the app is now iPadOS native and able to fully take advantage of the large-screen real estate.

What Elgato Had To Say

“Stream Deck is so much more than just a physical device,” said Christiane Göhring, Team Lead for Mobile Development at Elgato. “It’s a powerful ecosystem that enables millions of users across practically any workflow. With this update, we’re excited to bring that same technology to the virtual space, making it easier than ever for anyone to streamline tasks and save time using the iPhone or iPad they already know and love – all for free.”

Where Can I Learn More?

Stream Deck Mobile is available now for download on the Apple App Store for iOS and iPadOS devices and for Android on the Google Play Store.

Stream Deck Mobile Pro is available through a monthly subscription ($2.99), annual subscription ($24.99), or one-off lifetime purchase ($49.99). Prices vary by region.
