eTeknix: On the go – Part 1

be.ez LE reporter Air 13 Kingfisher

We’re always lugging our laptops around with us when we attend events, especially those abroad so we can constantly keep our readers up to date with the latest news and goings-on. It’s essential that our laptops are protected when we’re transporting them, and carried in a way that is comfortable to us. What better way to do this than with a laptop bag like the be.ez LE reporter Air 13 Kingfisherwhilst it’s primarily aimed at 13″ Macs, it’ll take any laptop up to that size including our Asus 13.3″. Having a messenger style bag like this, enables us to carry our laptop, chargers and any paperwork that we need.

be.ez are known for their quality cases and bags – in fact we already used one of their gel cases for one of our laptops. They are also known for their stylish designs and functionality, so without further delay, lets take a look at this funky bag.

The Le reporter Air 13 comes in various colour schemes, with the bag we have in for review today, being in the Kingfisher colours. The primary colours of the le reporter is kingfisher green, with an orange interior and light blue highlights. The bag is a typical messenger style design with a single shoulder strap. The bag features pockets on both sides of the exterior for quick access.

The interior is brightly coloured, with a light blue accent for the little details like the zip and stitching. Inside there are two main compartments, one of which is padded as it is where the laptop is stored, the other is for storing books or paperwork – it fits A4 sized folders perfectly.

The bag itself is fairly deep, but not that wide, so you would have difficulty cramming much more into it on top of the laptop. The strap is made from a material not dissimilar to a seat belt and is pretty comfortable no matter what the weight is.

Overall the bag is very stylish although it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It holds a good amount of items, and the laptop section is well padded – so it can withstand those day to day knocks when travelling about. As far as the review stands, it’s a perfectly decent bag, very stylish and protects it’s contents well. Whilst it would have been good for it to be a little wider, it can take all the usual paperwork and chargers on top of your laptop. Not really worth an award as it stands, it’s a fairly standard bag lacking in any notable features – that and the colour could be a bit hit and miss with some.
