Tying the real life start of the new season and the announcement, Codemasters has extended its partnership with Formula 1 to bring another title. F1 2012 will be released in September for yet another settlement in the series.
Set for release on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, F1 2012 builds on the comprehensive race weekends and time trials already present in the previous editions, however Codemasters is also looking to introduce new features to the game/racing simulator including the arrival of a new Young Driver Test mode.
In this new feature, gamers will have to prove themselves in a reproduction of the real-life rookie proving ground which will ultimately be the key for them to get a place on a team and go up against the world’s best drivers.
Here’s a video in which some of the real life rookies gave their take on the game.
Even though a precise date has yet to be given, the developer confirmed that it will include all the 20 races of the 2012 Formula 1 season as well as the full line-up of 24 drivers.
