Fractal Design Define R6 Tempered Glass Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Interior

With the side panel removed, we can finally take a look at this super clean looking interior. It uses a dividing wall on the front, helping hide the front cooling, ventilation and storage mounts, giving you a much cleaner finish overall. It does have a removable panel though, so if you want to open it up, you can certainly do that oo.

PSU Shroud

Further enhancing that clean finish is this built-in PSU shroud. It comes with plenty of ventilation too, and as much as this is a tightly sealed chassis, cooling is a big priority overall. All your cable gore will be hidden, and there’s a huge routing grommet at the back for motherboard cables too.

Another Included Fan!

In the rear, you’ll find the most non-black parts of the chassis. The fan, as well as the expansion slots covers, are all finished in a contrasting white that breaks up the design, giving it more visual appeal.

There’s plenty of room behind that wall too, with white finished metal drive mounts, although you can remove any of them if you needed the extra space; the choice is yours.

Exceptional Cable Routing Space

Around the back, it’s easily one of the cleanest looking rear sections we’ve seen. As you can see, the drive mounts fit from one side, so not to compromise the front cooling support, and allow full height radiators regardless of how many hard drives you install.

Cable routing for cooling is neat and tidy too thanks to this fan hub. By using this, you’ll have fewer cables running to the motherboard, keeping everything looking smart and your system nice and cool.

Dedicated SSD Mounts

Those wanting to mount a few extra 2.5″ drives can benefit from these lovely stealth mounts. I love that they’re so beautifully designed, despite the fact you’ll likely never see them once the panel is back in place.

Built-in Velcro straps will help you tame any excess cables, so not to spoil your high-end system build or its airflow.

Modular Storage

The durable drive mounts are easy to remove. There are even anti-vibration washers pre-installed, ensuring unwanted noise and vibration are kept to an absolute minimum.

There are six in total, but room for a few more, or to change the elevation of each to suit your builds needs.
