Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

The Game Max Hush Silent Gaming Chassis with Tempered Glass and RGB fan comes in at just £73.99. That’s pretty fantastic value for money given the level of features you get for your investment. It seems to be the sweet spot for Game Max too, where all their best chassis reside and you’ll be hard pushed to find better for less than this.

Overview

It’s a clear win for Game Max across the board here, as the Hush gets pretty much everything right. There are some minor things I can think of, but not one of them is a real issue, and purely subjective. The top panel will support radiators and an open design, which is great, but if you’re doing that, why buy a silent focused chassis? The PSU shroud is amazing, but some way to secure it would be good too, just a clip or something. Finally, rubber grommets on the cable routing. They’re not needed as such, but I do prefer them. Like I said, nothing major.

Silence!

This isn’t the most laser-focused silent chassis ever. However, it does take steps to mitigate some unwanted noise. The fans use a side air intake, meaning you’re never in direct ear-shot of the fans and that helps a lot. There’s also noise dampening applied to the front panel, the top panel, and the right side panel. If anything, this will help mute noise and vibrations quite well. Tempered glass is pretty sound proof too, so all good there.

Clean

Again, not the most complex setup ever, but the dust filters are thick and easily accessed. When it comes to high-performance systems, there’s a lot of air passing through them every hour. With that air comes dust, and it’s good to see that Game Max has done what they can to keep it out of your rig. Of course, remember to open the front panel now and then and clean it. Out of sight is out of mind, and it’s easily forgotten.

Added Value

At this price range, you can get far more boring chassis for the money. However, the tempered glass finish of the front and side panel give it a premium look that goes beyond the price tag. The addition of three high-quality fans pre-installed takes care of your airflow needs. Of course, one of them is RGB, and there’s a basic LED control button built in too. For noise and performance control, you get a two-speed fan controller on the front I/O also, as well as a fan hub to take care of that. Add to that, dust filters, the PSU shroud, plentiful storage mounts, 5.25″ mounts, and good radiator support. Overall, what’s not to love!
