Right now, the Game Max Kamikaze is listed with an MSRP of £71.99. However, it’s actually selling price is just £58.89, and I’ve even seen it as low as £55. That’s insane value for money, and honestly, I think they’re making zero money at that price. Four ARGB fans, fan/ARGB controller hub, tempered glass, PSU shroud, it’s all here. You can pay twice that price and get nothing extra for your money elsewhere. Even more amazing is that it’s cheaper in the US at just $59.86.
Game Max is a mixed bag of a brand. When it comes to their more premium options, I think they struggle to compete with the more established names for quality, if only by a small margin. However, when it comes to delivering affordable products, they’re pretty much the king of the market. At a price between £50-60, you really do get a lot more than you’re paying for. This is true of much of the Game Max range, although the Kamikaze Pro certainly stands outs from the crowd.
It’s pretty decent overall. I mean, it’s nothing groundbreaking either. However, tempered glass is tempered glass, so no issues there. You get a plastic front shroud, nothing crazy but it’s nicely built and functional. There a comprehensive front I/O panel, a PSU shroud, removable SSD mounts, rubber grommets on the cable routing, and that controller hub. These are all premium features and fittings but at bargain-bin prices.
Right out of the box, I think the Kamikaze Pro is a very nice looking case. It’s not unlike a lot of affordable cases with its extreme “gamer” looking front panel. However, four addressable RGB ring lighting fans really make it shine; quite literally. With support for AURA Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB fusion, etc, it’ll pair up with all major motherboards too.
If you’re looking for an affordable PC case that delivers all the premium features found on models that cost twice as much, it’s a done deal. The only limitation is mATX, but again, if that’s what size motherboard you have, it’s not an issue. I would love to see an ATX model though. Again, you get change from £60/$60 and you get so much from such a modestly priced case. Amazing value.
