From the exterior, the chassis looks pretty decent. It’s nothing unique, I mean, tempered glass chassis’ are hardly in short supply right now. That being said, it’s big and its pretty shiny, so I’m eager to see it with the lighting powered up.
On top, more glass of course. This will be a dust and fingerprint-loving chassis. Thankfully, Game Max includes a microfiber cloth in the box to keep it tidy.
The front I/O is rammed with ports and buttons. The milled edges around the buttons look fantastic too, giving them a nice premium look. There’s fan control and RGB on the left, followed by LEDs, audio, and USB. The button on the right is master power, as there’s no reset button. Furthermore, the reset button is wired to the RGB hub for built-in lighting control.
The front panel allows you to control the speed of your fans and set their RGB lighting. This can also be done from the included remote control, and works for up to ten fans!
There are some signs of lazy retrofitting here, unfortunately. I’ve seen this on a LOT of chassis. There are slots all along the top and bottom for an old slide-on metal panel. I usually don’t mind them, but these are massive, and there’s quite a few where you can see the light shining through. Gamemax, it’s okay, but at least black out the edges of the glass to hide it.
The same issue is there on the other side, but less noticeable. I do like glass on both sides, but it does mean you have to keep your cable routing super tidy. The darker tint on the glass will hide darker cables pretty well though.
Around the back, you’ll find a height adjustable 120mm fan mount. However, there’s no exhaust fan fitted, although passive exhaust here and through the top should be sufficient with three 120mm fans blowing air in from the front panel.
On the base, lots of ground clearance allows for proper airflow to the PSU dust filter. The feet are pretty robust and broad too, giving it added stability.
