The Gamemax Iceberg 120 performed really well at stock clocks, although shouldn’t any CPU cooler? Overall, it gave us some good performance at full load and our lowest temperature of just 32c in our gaming test.
Once overclocked, it managed to outpace both the Cryorig and MSI air coolers easily enough at load. Of course, it also gave us our lowest gaming score, and a competitive idle score too. Keep in mind, it’s the cheapest cooler on our charts, and it’s still really competitive.
At stock, it’s performance was superb, keeping pace with the Noctua NH-D15S, although it was louder in the gaming test, and the Noctua was also cooler at the same noise levels (and Noctua costs twice as much).
Another superb performance and I’m now curious where Gamemaxise getting their fans from. Of course, I’d even feel comfortable increasing the fan speed for increased cooling performance.
