Gamemax KALLIS Mid-Tower Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Interior

The interior looks even more amazing than the exterior. Honestly, I’m rubbing my eyes in disbelief at the quality here! There are signs this is a cheaper chassis, but they’re hard to spot, such as the lack of cable grommets, and some fairly small and oddly placed routing holes. Of course, these are minor gripes, and it looks more than competent.

The PSU shroud is metal and hides all the nasty cables and even a few 3.5″ drive bays. There’s loads of ventilation on it too, and best of all, a full length LED light strip to give your system some added visual flair.

In the back, there’s a stock 120mm fan. It’s a good quality fan, but the contrasting white breaks up the otherwise black design of the chassis, and that red fan cable is pretty irritating too. At this price range, which I’m saying a lot in this review, it’s acceptable, but it’s also a bruise on a fairly perfect chassis at this point.

Now, That’s Better!

Up front, it’s a different story, with two gorgeously designed 120mm RGB LED fans. They feature edge lighting and crystal clear blades that are sure to light up in style. Furthermore, they have black cables, blending in much easier compared to the rear fan.

Around the Back

There’s plenty of fun stuff back here too, with a fair amount of cable routing space to keep everything neat and tidy.

There’s room here to stealth mount a 2.5″ HDD, and a fan hub that comes ready to handy standard fans, as well as the pre-installed RGB ones. It’s controlled by the button on the chassis for lighting and takes its power from the rarely needed floppy header on your PSU cables.

Cable management enthusiasts will be happy to see pre-installed Velcro straps. However, there are cable tie loops everywhere else too.

More?

Finally, you’ll find two tool-free 3.5″ drive trays in the base. Of course, they’ll support 2.5″ drives too with the included screws. Here you’ll also find the accessory box and a space GPU support bracket to prevent droop. That’s right, a freaking cool extra like that at this price range (I said it again didn’t I!).
