Gamer Drugged His Girlfriend so He Could Stay up Playing

I think that we can all agree that gaming is a great hobby. However, it’s common knowledge that gamers with girlfriends sometimes don’t get as much hobby time as those who are single, and it seems that some individuals resort to rather extreme measures in order to obtain some extra gaming time. A German 23-year-old decided to drug his girlfriend by pouring “four or five drops” of Rohypnol into her tea. The woman came home from work, sipped on her tea and slept from 10 PM until the next afternoon. It may seem like a harmless act, but the dose was so powerful that the woman still felt drowsy the next day as she was driving to work.
The gamer admitted his act in front of a judge, who fined him €500 and said: “Your girlfriend slept long and deeply, which didn’t harm her, but this is certainly a premeditated bodily harm.” Rohypnol is known widely as a date-rape drug, and it is commonly used to treat insomnia and in order to induce anesthesia. Unless the guy in question had some sleeping issues of his own, it’s likely that he got a prescription for the drug in advance and planned to use it on his girlfriend before the night in question. Naturally, the two are now broken up, which means that our German gamer can now play Witcher 3 or whatever else he likes without having to drug his loved ones.
