A Closer LookOn the top of the cooler, Gelid have decided to use a black ‘plaque’ featuring their brand name as well as the name of the Tranquillo Rev. 2.
A dense fin array as well as closed sides should allow for some good cooling performance.
The Tranquillo Rev. 2’s base heatsink is far larger than it’s predecessor’s offering. The heatpipes are orientated so that they won’t interfere with motherboard component heastinks such as VRM or northbridge heatsinks.
An ultra shiny copper base is used on the Tranquillo Rev. 2.
7 white blades and a black frame make up the 120mm PWM fan.
It is always good to see the PWM fan cable black in colour and braiding is a very nice addition by Gelid. A 4-pin PWM connector controls and powers the fan.
