InstallationThe first task is to screw the 2 Intel mounting clips to the cooler’s base.
After putting the screws into our universal backplate, it can be positioned on the back of the motherboard.
Each stand-off is fastened to a screw.
The spring nut is fastened to the extruding screw, while the stand-off holds the cooler’s mounting brackets off the motherboard.
The fan can be attached so that it is positioned well above the bottom of the cooler to allow for better RAM clearance.
Once complete, the mount feels fairly sturdy and there aren’t any issues.
When located in our test system, the Tranquillo Rev. 2 isn’t the best looking CPU cooler we have seen, but it is by no means ugly.
The installation manual is easy to follow while the general installation is straightforward for the most part. Things can become a little tricky when carrying out fiddly tasks such as sticking the spacers on to the mounting holes and attaching the fan with the supplied clips.
