GIGABYTE Announces New BRIX Mini PC With 13th Gen Intel Core U Series Processor

GIGA Computing, a subsidiary of GIGABYTE, has announced today their new redesigned BRIX mini-pcs using Intel 13th Gen Core U-Series processors.

The new GIGABYTE BRIX Mini-PCs are much more powerful than their previous generation but have not increased in size however do utilise an all-new chassis design with curved and soft features which makes it unobtrusive and tidy. The Brix uses the new 13th Gen Core U processors which use Intels 7 nm Process and offer powerful computing in a compact form for office use, education use, home use, digital signage, medical care or KIOSK.
Faster Than Previous Generations
The BRIX previously utilised 10th Gen processors and thanks to Intel’s advanced hybrid design these new 13th Gen BRIX mini PCs are up to 88% faster in multithreaded performance. Of course, this depends on the processor used and the BRIX is available with the option of i3, i5 and i7 13th Gen processors paired up with up to 32GB of DDR4 through 2x SO-DIMM sticks at 3200MHz.
Features and I/O
The all-new BRIXs feature plenty of the latest technologies and are capable of outputting up to four 4K displays through the two HDMI 2.0 ports, Mini DisplayPort 1.4 and the USB-C port with DP alt mode all thanks to Iris Xe graphics. The BRIXs also features 4 USB ports two of which are USB 2.0 and the other two are USB 3.2 plus the unit features a 2.5G Lan port and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth. The BRIXs is also VESA compliant and can be mounted out of the way on the back of a monitor for a compact all-in-one system. Storage support is often limited in these small form factor systems and the BRIXs is no exception but does allow for dual M.2 SSds and one 2.5″ HDD/SSD to be mounted which should provide plenty of options.
