This isn’t the most exciting looking GPU, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s a pretty standard issue Gigabyte card. I say that politely though, as it’s still pretty decent, and it’s hardly ugly either. It features one of their more common cooler designs, and doesn’t look too far apart from their 900 and 1000 series GPUs. It still features a large cooler though, with triple fans. You’ll notice the middle fan is reversed to the outer fans, helping create more of a vortex for improved cooling and airflow.
Down the side, they’ve got the Gigabyte logo, which is RGB lit of course.
The cooler does look neat and tidy though, nothing new to it really, but if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it!
This is still a mighty and powerful card on the inside though, so it’ll want 2 x 8-pin power connectors; the Founders Edition features 8+6.
Around the back, you can see the tail end of the four copper heat pipes, running through the dual fin stack configuration.
Connectivity is pretty much the same on all Ti models now. That’s no bad thing though, with 3 x DP, 1 x HDMI, and a Type-C for future display/VR connections.
One lovely feature here though, a full-length aluminium backplate adds strength, as well as passive PCB cooling to the back of the card.
Overall, neat and tidy, nothing over the top, but ticks all the right boxes. Now, let’s see how it performs.
