Gigabyte GTX 1650 Gaming OC Graphics Card Review

Power Consumption

Amazingly, the card only uses 141 Watts at full load. Keep in mind, unlike some GTX 1650’s this has a 6-pin header, so can use more than the 75 Watt limit of the PCIe slot. That’s very little power though, the efficiency is truly impressive.

Temperatures

At just 56c, it’s by far the coolest running card we’ve ever tested. It’s also one of the least powerful though, so I guess the two do go hand in hand. Seriously surprised it needs fans at all it’s that cool.

Acoustics

Predictably, the card is fairly quiet. A little louder than some of the Gigabyte cards with similar coolers, but certainly not noisy overall. If anything, you could dial back the profile as the card isn’t exactly screaming hot at load anyway.

  1. £158 is a bit more than I’d like for a low-end gaming card.

How does it compare to the £125 (!) You can even get 4GB RX 580s from £150 …

Sure, they are louder and use more power, but they are more performant.

And let’s not consider second hand versions of these.

  2. This is a piece of shit.
The rx570 (rx470) wich is three years old, is much faster and cheaper than this pile of junk
