The most impressive thing about this mouse is is the weight, at just 50 grams it’s certainly one of the lightest wireless gaming mice you can get your hands on.
It’s exceptionally well balanced too, with just a light finger and thumb pinch you can hold the mouse in the middle, lift it with ease and it doesn’t rock forwards or back, making for a great lift-off technique when using very low DPI.
Side note, I am actually holding the mouse completely flat and level with the desk here, but the angle of the camera, and the monitor behind it make it look like it’s falling forward, I assure you it’s not, I’m just an idiot, and of that you can be certain.
The ergonomics are really nice too, it fits under my hand like a shadow, and while there are no rubber grips on the side, the overall shape makes it naturally easy to hold onto. It feels very comfortable in a palm grip like this. However, I can tell some of the weight savings are due to slimming the width of the mouse compared to my Model D- but it’s still very comfortable.
However, since the buttons actuate their best anywhere from the middle the the very tip, a fingertip or hybrid grip works really well too.
Both the LMB and RMB are mounted on their own panels, with no pre-travel before the click. There’s a little bit of flex in the plastic after the click, around 0.5mm, but it does give it a nice springy feel and fast return. The click is quite loud and has a nice tactile feel to it, but a little muddier sounding than the crispier lighter switches used in my D- Wireless.
Their BAMF 19,000 DPI optical sensor is utterly flawless. It tracks like dream at any DPI level, pixel perfect, no jitter, no angle snapping, no problems at all. If you’re gaming at home or playing in a $1M tournament, it’s up to the task.
The scroll wheel is nice and large, with a soft friction at each step when turned. You can spin it quite hard and fast, but the moment you lift your finger, it stops immediately due to the friction; this is a good thing, as it means fast and accurate weapon swaps. It has a nice click action too.
