Goat Simulator Dev Strikes Development Deal With PewDiePie

Felix Kjellberg, better known as the YouTube star PewDiePie, looks to be moving into the world of gaming development, again, having just signed a deal with Armin Ibrisagic, one of the key designers for Goat Simulator and his new development studio, DoubleMoose.

No specific games have been announced as part of this deal, but it’s been revealed that multiple titles will be developed across mobile and PC, with PewDiePie offering his “creative input”.

Given the almost viral popularity of Goat Simulator, it’s going to be interesting to see what the new team can come up with, and with PewDiePie having control of a marketing powerhouse through his YouTube channel, any projects involved could quickly be successful too. PewDiePie isn’t new to this area either, having partnered on games like Legend of the Brofist and Tuber Simulator in the past.

“Comedy is huge in entertainment, but it still feels in its infancy in the games industry,” says Ibrisagic. “Felix and I would like to work on changing that.”
