Going Medieval On A Drone

Drones are amazing pieces of technology. It was only a few years ago that saying that anyone and everyone could buy a device to film themselves from overhead like a scene from a movie would be considered a dream. These days you can fly drones from your back garden to the grand canyon, so what happens when you fly one at a medieval fair?

If you ever decide to record something at a Medieval festival, make sure that everyone is on board with the idea otherwise you end up with what happened at the Russian Middle Ages festival when one happy festival-goer decided to go Medieval on the recording drone.

After a very impressive spear throw, you get a view of the festival as a whole, including some of the medieval games and fights, before getting yet another shot of the takedown, this time the clip is slowed down showing you the happy smile of the spear thrower and those who noticed his actions before the spear took flight.

With everyone from governments and airports looking at ways to take down a drone they dislike, including a specialist unit in Tokyo, it would appear that this guy has already solved the problem.
