It’s been a little over a week now since the release of the GTA Trilogy, and I think it would be entirely fair to say that the launch condition of the games was unforgivably poor. Rushed, unfinished, and a late 2021 cash grab seem to sum up the majority of opinions surrounding the titles. – The only silver lining to this rather bleak cloud, however, is that given that there have been so many problems (seemingly discovered by players I might add), Rockstar Games has been practically compelled to fix them in a quick and prompt manner. Failure to do so, after all, would only impact sales of what should’ve represented one of their biggest hits of the year.

Well, following a report via DSOGaming, the first major patch for the GTA Trilogy has been released and the good news is that it has brought absolutely masses of bug fixes and general improvements to the titles.

What Do We Think?

While this huge list of fixes is certainly encouraging from the standpoint that the GTA Trilogy should now be in a much better condition than it was, the colossal amount clearly raises the point that Rockstar Games simply can not have been ignorant of all of these when they brought the game to market. – Sure, many of the problems resolved were confirmed by the community, but this is such a huge amount of corrections, provided in an incredibly short amount of time, that this clearly can’t just represent a community-driven patch. Rockstar Games had to have known about a lot of these, and more so, that they existed when the GTA Trilogy was released.

Overall, while the patch is good, the reasons behind it being so comprehensive and, ultimately, necessary, are not! – Rockstar Games, you’ve let your fans down with this one!
