MediaPad M5 Available in Two Sizes
Huawei not only unveiled their new MateBook X Pro at MWC 2018, they have also announced their new MediaPad M5 tablets. Just like with the MateBook X Pro, Huawei focused on quality and delivers surprisingly high-end features on the MediaPad M5.
Available in a 10.8-inch or 8.4-inch variant, it uses IPS panels capable of 2560 x 1600 pixel resolutions (359 and 280 PPI, respectively). These tablets also look quite slick featuring curved-edge 2.5D glass-to-metal bodies.
What Other Features Does the MediaPad M5 Have?
Just like the MateBook X Pro as well, these tablets feature a quad-speaker system. This time, Huawei tapped Harman-Kardon for the job.
Inside, the hardware runs on a Kirin Octa-Core processor with 4GB of memory. It also packs a 5,100mAh battery with quick charge capacity. This quick charge feature supposedly enables the device to fully charge within just 1.9 hours for a day’s worth of work.
There are also 8MP front cameras with 13MP rear cameras, which is standard for a tablet. Built-in storage is up to 128GB, with an SD card expansion supporting up to 256GB more. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
10.8-Inch Pro Version Available
There is also a “Pro” version of the 10.8-inch size with a Stylus.
How Much is the MediaPad M5?
The MSRP in Europe is €349 for the 8.4-inch model and €399 for the 10.8-inch model.
