ID-Cooling is not a brand that necessarily carries the reputation of being high-performance. In our experience though, there is very little reason why that shouldn’t be the case. In truth, they are a manufacturer that provides a mixed bag of products to suit all needs and with the Auraflow X 240 presenting the ‘high-end’ of their designs, we’re not surprised to see that reflected in our test results.
Admittedly though, we did not expect this to be so high on the list in terms of temperatures. Against all expectations, the Auraflow X 240 finds itself amazingly high on our test lists. It’s actually top of our standard stock cooling and in the top 3 in terms of Overclocking performance. We knew that this was going to be good, but this good? Despite our extensive knowledge of the Auraflow range, even we’re surprised!
The noise level results are a little more down to earth and in truth when overclocked the cooler fans did provide some rather notable ‘spikes’ in terms of sound output. As you can see though, they are still very much both still in the top half of our results and based on the performance they clearly give, we can forgive it for not being whisper quiet.
